Mar 24, 2015 at 1:05 comment added Maxime Morin I agree with Daniel. It seems to me that the best answer would be try both and use the method you prefer.
Mar 24, 2015 at 0:38 comment added Daniel B. I don't think so. I suppose given ample time to test how much future rework shows up for each method, and time spent, maybe. But it winds up being opinion based because it's a question of whether or not you prefer taping edges to sanding dried glue, and probably on the nature of the project itself (e.g. are you making a cutting board or a credenza?)
Mar 23, 2015 at 23:49 comment added Jeromy French Hey @DanielBall...I question your premise that this is a matter of opinion. While opinion is clearly divided, I bet some sort of scientific method could be applied to come up with an empirical answer. In the meantime, the accepted answer does a nice job of solving the "on the other hand" aspect raised by woodworking.stackexchange.com/a/364/192

Mar 23, 2015 at 22:08 comment added Daniel B. Anything I say in an answer won't really add to what's been said, but it can be seen fairly easily that this is a matter of opinion. Either will work, but depending on the method you will have different considerations. I personally glue first, but that's just because that's how dad taught me ;)
