Timeline for I'd like to make 3" thick table legs using 3/4" oak veneer core plywood. Will this design work?

added since I missed that veneered plywood was the only material option.

I know there's iron-on veneer, but I can only seem to find rolls of it in narrow strips, and I don't know what trying to glue 4 strips next to each other would end up looking like | |
